Our Foster Care Journey

Well our girls left at the end of January. It was pretty hard for us. We had told the case worker we wanted them to be transition in May so that the oldest could finish out the year in her kindergarten class. Well they were not very nice and just moved them as soon as they could. I had cried for two days straight and Steven was very upset as well. But they ended up going to the grandparents of the people that want to adopt them. Which are the same family that had them before they were placed with us. We called and checked up on them a week later and the oldest didn't really care to talk to us and was fine but the younger one who was very attached to Steven which is crazy because when she first arrived she wanted nothing to do with guys. She talked and talked and talked to me and then to Steve. She kept having problems at school when she was still at our house. So she told Steve that she had been good at school so we need to let her come back home. It was very heartbreaking for both of us. Especially Steven. So we haven't called them back since we figured it isn't fair for them or us. We had them in our home for 6 months. It was a very good learning experience for both of us. We learned things that I think most parents will never learn and we have learned things that will hopefully make us good parents with the twins. Since we had such a hard time with the girls leaving we decided to pray to either keep up with our license or stop until the twins get older. The answer we got was to stop the foster care for a while and focus on the twins and then we will see where life takes us. We are very grateful for the experience that we had with the whole foster care program and were very grateful we helped these two little girls for a short while. I think that more than anything they helped us.

Pregnancy Updates

I was 23 weeks in this picture.
I don't know how many weeks I was but it was sometime in December.

So far so good I am now 27 weeks and ready to be done. The babies have been doing so good. I was really shocked that they would do so good. I passed the glucose test and found out I'm really anemic. I feel huge even though everyone says oh you look so tiny. Biggest reason that I look small is that she is in my ribs and back and he is down low. My ribs on my right side have been killing me and now it is starting to hurt on the front of my ribs too. I go back to get an ultrasound on Monday.

GoDaddy Christmas Party 2010

ZZ Tops had to take a lot of breaks
We were too lazy to go up to the stage area
They were pretty funny
Danica and at least she wore something a little bit more modest this year
George Thorogood.
I am not a rocker I think I only knew like one of his songs.
Fireworks as usual
Jillian Michaels being a total dork.
She was so weird. I figure she would be more professional she must have been drunk
We look so cute.
Jewel she is so pretty
She sang some classics and she even yodel for us.
Bob coming out for the first time with his security detail. I am surprised his new wife doesn't get mad
This was a warm up band I thought they were the best personally but it is just because they sang songs that I knew
Godaddy race cars

From the top of the bleachers before we went down to the field

This year at the Godaddy Christmas party it was a lot different then the past years. I go to expect this wonderful dinner to find out it's just carnival junk food with a classy twist to it. Of course can I eat any of it no not really. So the night turned out to be ok we had some really neat bands, no comedians this year. I basically ate popcorn, cotton candy, a Popsicle, a few garlic fries, a few bites of some phili cheese steak, and salt water taffy. I wasn't very impressed especially being pregnant and starving. After the party we headed straight for the taco bell. Steve and I tried our hand at a few carnival games. Steve won two stuffed animals and the gift that we got at the end of the party was a bear that sings the Godaddy song. Out of all it was fun to get away and see our friends. The ZZ pops were pretty funny. There was a lot of celebrities at the party. Even our good old Sheriff Joe. Well I guess he is not our Sheriff but still we know him well. Jillian Michaels was there the trainer from the Biggest Loser. She was totally clueless about how much money Bob really gives away each year. In fact we didn't win anything this year but we got lucky because Bob said I am going to pay the people who have to work the Christmas Party Quadruple pay and an extra 250 bonus. Well we thought that just meant the people who had to work that night but it worked out for everyone who worked that day which included Steve. We were able to have some extra money for Christmas which was so nice. We hung out with Chuck and his wife which was a change and it was so fun. This party was a little hard on me, my bladder just didn't want to stay empty so about every 20 minutes I had to trek my way back up the stairs to the bathrooms it was pretty funny actually. It seemed like this year there was way more people then there have been in the past. Just goes to show how amazing this company really is and how awesome they treat their employees. I am very grateful Steven works there and I even went up to the big Chief himself Bob and thanked him for the invetro. Steven thought I was crazy but his wife and Bob were super nice to me.

10 weeks and 11 weeks

My first picture of showing how big I have gotten. I can't believe how big I am getting.
Ultrasound picture at 11 weeks. It was really fun seeing the babies this week. Baby A decided that he wanted to keep it's back to us. Baby B was curled up in a ball. But it look like it was waving at us. We were both shocked at how much they were moving around. They wouldn't hold still for a second. The doctor said they are doing awesome and wants to see us in 4 weeks. I will be 15 weeks so I am hoping that we might get to find out what they are but it might still be too early. I have been feeling ok. The doctor put me on a different nausea medicine because the other one wasn't working very good. I still am so tired, have bad leg cramps, major heart burn but other than that great.

Update

Well haven't written in a while and things in the Morrissey household just never stops being so busy. Well as for me I am now almost 10 weeks pregnant. I still am in sock that I am going to be having two new little ones that actually grew inside of me. I have been looking at strollers and other baby items and still not believing that I will have to have this stuff. I definitely feel pregnant even if I don't believe it. I have been so sick thank goodness for modern technology for giving me medicine for my nausea problem. Now if I could find something for my tired problem we be in business. I have been so tired. I could basically sleep all day and all night. But life happens so I am trying to be a good foster mom and a good wife but I know I haven't been 100% due to being so tired. Other than that I have been doing pretty good. I don't fit into any of my old shorts or pants and just wear basketball shorts all week. We went to the regular OB two weeks ago and he is so excited. He has been with us through our long journey of trying to get pregnant and he even called me after the appointment that night and just had to say how excited he is. I am grateful to have such an awesome doctor who actually knows me and is ready to help me bring these two precious spirits into the world. I wish time could travel a little faster because out of the almost 7 years of trying I finally am there and it is not as fun as I thought it would be LOL. It will be so worth it I just know it. Steven is so beyond excited about the babies. He has been so awesome at helping me with the girls and house work. I am so blessed with such a great husband who takes such good care of me. I know that it hasn't been very fun for him having a sleepy wife all the time but it will soon past and hope he will work with me until then.
We still have both foster girls. They also are so excited for the babies. The youngest said that the girl baby will sleep in her room and the boy baby will sleep in the other ones room. We shall see what happens. We have no clue as to what these two will be but hopefully the girls will get to see them. We don't know what is going to happen, we are still dealing with the courts and other relatives wanting to try to adopt the girls. The mom has another court date in December and so we shall see what happens after that. The girls just got their tonsils and adenoids out last week and the younger one got tubes in her ears. I was expecting them to be pretty out of it but they have been bouncing off the walls since they been home. I am glad that they were able to do it together and that everything went well. Their voices have been a little strange but other than that you wouldn't even know that they had major surgery last week. Well that pretty much sums it up for now I wish I could post pictures of the girls in their Halloween costumes but that's a no no. Maybe someday if they become ours I can have a huge picture album blog just for them. As for me I am still working three days a week for the cute lady that has a brain tumor. It is so nice to actually use some of my knowledge I gained from grad school. I miss school a lot but I know God has me on the path I need to be on. I am supposed to start school again in May but it looks like I am probably going to have to postpone till August. Which will be fun because my little sister got accepted into the same school just a different program which starts in September so we might get to meet up for lunch or carpool or something. It's getting harder for me to work with me being so tired but I feel bad leaving her plus the extra money is always nice. Well I hope everyone is doing well, and as for the Morrissey family we are doing ok.

Our new Adventure

In the beginning of our adventure we started taking the highest dose hormones.
Then our embryos were implanted
Both decided to stay so we are on our way to having twins.
