Christmas Day

Christmas 2009 started out with my husband not wanting to go to bed until 2 in the morning. then at about 8 in the morning I get a call from my dad saying my little sister wants to talk to me. She gets on the phone and says "do you want to do chores, eat breakfast or open presents, PRESENTS" this is a classic saying from Garfield's Christmas movie. Our family has been saying it for years. So we got to my moms and started opening presents. This was Clancy's first Christmas and was really excited and not very sure about all of this unwrapping business. Thenmy husband and I said we were not getting each other gifts for each other. Well my husband lied and he got me a new camera. Then we ate breakfast and loaded up to go to my grandparents house. Once there we ate but I just held babies because my stomach was all messed up. Then we watched the kiddos open presents. They all had to be pasted out before they opened them. Then in a flash there was wrapping paper everywhere. We were blessed to have my brother and his wife in town. I wished he lived here so we could spend more time with him. We had a great Christmas and hope that everyone else had a good Christmas as well.

Christmas Traditions

Steven and I standing in front of the tree burning up from playing tag.

Tumbleweed Christmas Tree

This was her new edition this year the waving Santa.
My auntie Joy and me

Poor Clancy look at that face.

Uncle Sid's amazing village
f

Every Christmas we go to my aunt Joy's house. She dresses up every year like Mrs. Clause and her brother Sid sets up a village that takes up the whole entire room. It is so amazing. There is so many things to look at. From a battle field to a fire at a house. This was Clancy's first year to go and it was really sad because aunt Joy's outfit scared him to death. Every time she tried to hold him he would start crying. It was sad but totally funny at the same time. She also has a variety of lights and different decorations outside and inside her house. She is so cute and it was seeing Sid and Jeanette. I am so grateful to have such an amazing extended family. I can't imagine not being around all of my family.
Another Christmas tradition is going to the tumbleweed Christmas Tree. If you never been you should totally go. It is totally amazing. It is a Christmas tree made out of tons of tumbleweeds that are spray painted together with lights put on it. Don't worry it has flame retardant paint on it so it won't burst into flames. We gather as a family with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings and play hide and go seek for a while and then this year instead of red rover we played missionary tag. It was so fun. Then we went to my grandma's house and ate goodies and hot chocolate.

Temple Christmas Light

This year we had the experience to go with the youth to the temple lights. Steven is in Young Men's and I got to go with them. We went on a charter bus with all the youth and we watched Elf and listened to the youth sing Christmas carols I just hope I didn't act the way some of the youth act. They are crazy, but I am sure I probably was.
I wish my camera was better because the star above the manger was really cool.
You could tell I really cold. It was really pretty and the purple lights were my favorite. I was able to get this picture of the temple it is so cool how it just glows at night.

Huh?

Steven loves to play with his nephew Clancy. He always has the best facial expression. He is getting so big.

GoDaddy Christmas Party

This is us waiting to eat at the party. I brought my heavy duty coat this year so I wouldn't freeze. Every year I freeze so I came prepared.

This is Danica's new Nascar. She is going to be the only girl racing.

Here is another one of her cars.
This is another car that Godaddy sponsors.
There is the food in the nice shiny silver platters.
I love their hats. They look so professional.
They had a Christmas tree made out of lights with a Godaddy head.

Major fireworks, which were cool but I think is what made my asthma freak out. They did not open the roof till the very end so there was tons of smoke in the building for a while.
We had lots of fun as usual. We didn't win anything again but I am thankful my husband has such an awesome job.

Here is one of the bands that played the 4 tops. It was really good music this year. Usually I never know any of the music but this year was awesome classics.

Here is another look at a great concert.

These guys were awesome.

Classic motown music.

Check out their awesome dance moves.
