Another Christmas Tradition

Another one of my favorite Christmas traditions is going to my aunt Joy's house. She always dresses up like Mrs. Clause and my great uncle sets up this village. Its amazing. It covers the whole room. Last year you couldn't see all of it very well. This year he made it two stories. It is so cool. He starts putting it up in November. There is everything from carnivals to war zones. The war zone which was one of the new edition this year was really cool.

My Sister's New Gun

My husband really wanted to get my little sister a gun for Christmas. It is a 22 for those who wanted to know what kind. Well she loves it. They are going shooting this Saturday. I hope that she doesn't shoot her eye out.

Christmas Traditions

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is Cookies and Caroling, but this year we only did the cookies, which was fine for me. It always ends up making a big mess but it is really fun and very tasty.

Christmas Party

The Godaddy.com party this year was pretty fun. It was at the BOB as I like to call it but technically its Chase Field. We had a very nice dinner and it was followed by Sinbad which was so funny. Then there was a band called 38Special. I have never heard of them before. Throughout the whole party they gave away a lot of money. Were talking over 300K. Ya we didn't win again this year. Maybe next year though. They had a lot of fun games and on of them was this skiing game. It was really fun.

My sis and I

Well I am a little behind but this is a picture of my little sister on Black Friday. We went to smell the real christmas trees and I'm sure people were staring at us because we looked really funny.

Our First Gingerbread House

Well one of the Davis's Christmas traditions is making gingerbread houses. We usually never built one but we did this time. This is a picture of the before the building.

This is Mindy and Nick's house it looked way better than ours.
This is our final product some of our younger cousin helped.
Well on the ride home the house decided to fall and completely break. Then this morning we come down stairs and the plastic box part is on the ground and there is no house. So apparently the dogs needed a midnight snack. So this was our first and most likely our last since we did not have any luck with it.

Christmas Tree

Well to show how bored I was today I put my tree up. If you notice the tree is leaning just a little, I lost a screw to the bottom. I really love the smell of a real tree but it is really nice to have a fake one. I called my mom because she always has her tree up as soon as possible but I actually beat her. Ha, Ha!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My favorite holiday of the year was unique because my husband had to work until 6pm and then when we went to his parents to watch the Cardinals game the house was totally quiet. Which is totally weird for his parents house because their house is always loud. Well the Cardinals had been doing well but they got spanked last night. Here is a picture of my sisters and I at my grandma's house. My grandma always makes my favorites and I was able to take a ton of food home, YUM!

Update!

Well, we had the homestudy man was that ever stressful. It went well and now is the waiting game. We had a little bump in our road because the birth mom wants to still try to keep her baby so the adoption is still up in the air. We hope that all will go well but it is a guessing game. The doctors schedule a C-section for the 2oth of Dec. so if everything does go according to plan and the baby is healthy we might not be here for Christmas. We found out that the birth dad has brown hair and green eyes just like Steven, so that's exciting. The doctors say that the baby is moving around a lot and the birth mom might get to go home. We are grateful for all your prayers and ask to still keep us in them so that everything may go according to plan.

NOT JUST BIG BUT HUGE NEWS

Tonight we received a call from the case worker in Idaho working on our future babies case. Drum roll please.............................................................The birth mother choose us to be blessed with her little boy. I cant explain the excitement and joy that I am feeling right now, but I can tell all of you thanks for the prayers. We know that they helped with this and we cant be more grateful. Now we just have to play the waiting game and hope all the legal stuff gets done in time. We also will have to get to Idaho never been to Idaho but I hear that its cold. Lucky us Steve's company offers adoption reimbursement so as soon as the adoption is finalized they will reimburse us up to 5k in expense, just got to get the money together first. I feel so selfish saying this but please keep us in your prayers. I know with the Lords help this will happen. We will keep everyone updated so stay tuned.

BIG NEWS

So we are very excited right now and want to share some big news with everyone. No we are still not pregnant but close. Last Monday out of no were we received a email from LDS Family services about a placement opportunity. We were both kind of shocked because its been a year since we started the adoption process and have done nothing for at least six months. We responded back to our case worker about the email and suddenly we were being rushed through paper work. The baby is a little boy due December 25Th so he is a Christmas baby. His mother has Mytonic Dystrophy and it is very likely he will have it as well. The birth mother is located in Idaho so it will be a nice little trip. It will also be the best five year anniversary present and Christmas present. We are still not for sure the family that will be blessed with this little guy but are hopes are high and we were the first one on the list. Now its all a matter of getting the cash together to pay for the homestudy and other fees. Please remember us in your prayers and hopefully soon we will have even better news for everyone, but we are still trying not to let our hopes get too high.

Update

Just to let everyone know my surgery went well. I am still pretty sore but hopefully this surgery fix my getting pregnant problems. The doctor took off a quarter size cyst and checked everything and said I should be good to go. Also, I have no idea what I did but I managed to erase all of my pictures off of my blog because I wanted to try to put a slide show on my blog. Which by the way is very hard and it does not look right. So make a note to yourselve to be careful if your trying to put a slide show. I had to go reload all of my pictures again. I was going to show you pictures of my stitches but I didn't want to gross anyone out. So no pics this time.

Life is Crazy!

So probably you all stop looking at my blog because I haven't updated it in forever and your probably thinking that we have died or something, but life is busy so forgive me on not blogging. Well to get you caught up about us, I have been working two jobs one for the autistic kid in the afternoon and the other I have been working at an elementary school teaching a child sign language because he is losing his hearing. I have been in and out of the doctors because of my health and I am having surgery on Monday for my endometriosis. Steven has been busy with his job at GoDaddy and is trying to get on with Boeing. He has officially become a cowboy. Thanks dad! My husband a while ago didn't even like to go near horses has now gone on an overnight outing with my dad, Nick and a few of my dad's friends. They had a great time. Here are only a few pics from their trip. It will be neat when my brother gets home from his mission and they can go on rides together.

We are going on the walk to cure diabetes soon and we got our shirts for our dogs and we just had to try them on. They look so funny in them.

It is almost November which means, our 5th Anniversary. Can you believe it because I can't it seems like yesterday that we were married. It's crazy how life has changed for us in these past five years.

Oh, Man It's Over!

I just finished this wonderful series of books and I need to find a new series quick before I get sad that there are no more books about these great characters. I fell in love with these books because they were awesome. They are a little adventurous, romantic, and spiritual now you can't get much better than that. My mother-n-law said I had to read them. They were great and now Brittany is reading them and can't put them down. It is really nice to be able to read again. After two years of only being able to read textbooks it is so nice to read good old novels. So if your looking for a new series to read this one is great.

Memories!

So, I love blogging now and I love exploring other peoples blogs. Yea I know kind of weird but anyways I found this idea on Kari Stock's blog and totally thought it was cool. So thanks Kari for the great idea. So follow the instructions and see how much fun this is.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Our New Family Edition!

With all of the trying, and trying to get pregnant we have finally figured it out. No we are not having a baby, we figured out its easier to have dogs instead of kids. So our new edition to our family starts off like this. The MCSO (Maricopa County Sheriffs Office) rescued this dog from an abusive environment. Steven volunteers with MCSO and they emailed him asking if he or anyone else he knew would be interested in taking this dog and giving him a new home. Well we saw the pictures of him and went to just "look" at him knowing that we already have two crazy animals and don't really need another. Well after the second we meet him we knew that he was meant to be part of our unusual family. So meet General,
can you guess who named him? Yep, Steven. Steven is obsessed with war movies and so General comes from a General in the military. The pictures do not really do justice of how big he is but he truly reins over our other two. We are not exactly sure of his age but, we were told about two or three. He is super skinny even though the pictures does not really show it.
Yes, he is nutor so no puppies coming our way thank goodness. He is already trained and listens better than our other two yahoos. He and the girls are still trying to adjust to one another and he is kind of getting use to his new name, no one knows what his original name was.
Here is a picture of him and Penny this kind of shows the size difference. It is funny because Penny is a queensland healer-german sheperd mix and yet she looks identical to General except for the size and her red color. We are so greatful for the opportunity to help General and add a new family member to our home.

Fly, Fly, Fly away!

Well no need to buy a fly swatter I have a dog to take care of them. In this video Bailey is trying to catch a fly. She usually catches them, I know its gross but it is pretty funny to watch. The fly was not cooperating so she lost interest and gave up. So you see if your kids are ever bored just tell them to chase a fly around the house it should keep them busy for a little while and you will have fun watching them do it. P.S. Don't mind the messy office and the noise in the background is me laughing and Steven watching Micheal Phelps win yet another Gold medal and break another word record surprise surprise.

Peace and Quiet!

Well it is no longer loud and crazy at our house anymore. Unfortunately, our house guests have left. We truly loved and will miss a crazy house full of boys. This was the last picture I was able to take of one of the twins. Ya I still can not tell them apart. The only way I was able to tell them apart was their personalities. But our dogs seem to be enjoying the peace and quiet. For some reason Penny loves to sleep on her back. I think that it is so funny every time she does it I can not help but laugh because I have never had a dog lay like this before.Well even though we do not have the crazy house full my life has been still crazy. My asthma is not doing well and I think that this brain tumor is giving me headaches or at least something is. And yes I do have a brain tumor it is on my pituitary gland. The Endocrinologist says that it is not cancerous, they are still doing some test to see if everything is ok but it sounds like I won't need to have surgery. The grad school that I am suppose to be starting on my birthday is giving me trouble with financial aid and so I am not positive at this point that I will be able to go. So if anyone knows what I can do with my Kinesiology degree let me know. Steven is still working hard as ever and trying to get over the fact that he does not have boys to play with.

Steven and da Boys

Well it sure has been crazy around our joint. This first picture is when the twins got their hair cut to look just like Uncle Steve. The second picture is all of the boys in their new Sunday clothes. The last picture is Steven and the twin he just had to match everything from ties to pants even though he wore his work pants that I really did not want him to wear. I will be in trouble when we finally have kids because I do not know if they make kid clothes and clothes to fit my husband exactly alike. Steven is so cute with the boys. We are so glad to have them at our house. Oh, and by the way it is official I have finally finished ASU, Hallelujah!!

A True Full House

Hi Everyone,
When We first created this blog name we did not think that we would have a full house right away. This week were were pleasantly surprised to have Steven's sister Rachel move in with us with her four boys. Deiondre who just turn five, Marcel is three, Elijah and Isaiah are turning two in August. We are very glad to have all of them in our home. Bailey and Penny did not know what to think at first, but now they are loving all of the attention that they get. This picture was taken this pass November so all of the boys look a little younger, but don't worry we will get some current ones up real soon.
